Description of Incident:

A Pompano Beach man died Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another vehicle in Pompano Beach.

Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives are investigating the two-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:20 p.m. at 3300 N. Powerline Rd. Witnesses said the driver of a blue 1998 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Powerline Road when he struck the passenger-side door of a silver 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. The driver of the Equinox, Christopher Cole, was making a U-turn onto Powerline Road at Northeast 33 Avenue in order to head north on Powerline Road when the collision occurred.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported the motorcyclist, Christopher Glasco, and the Equinox passenger to Broward Health North hospital. Cole’s relative arrived on scene and took him to Broward Health North to be checked out. Cole and his passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Glasco, who was not wearing a helmet, died Sunday at the hospital.
