PAWN SHOP ROBBERS SHOW NO CONCERN FOR PREGNANT WOMAN, MAN HOLDING INFANT
PIO # 12-11-10
Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are looking for two men who robbed a Pompano Beach pawn shop at gunpoint, forcing customers – including a pregnant woman and a man holding an infant – onto the floor as they forced employees to give them cash. Surveillance video captured the robbery, which happened at 2:53 p.m. on October 27 at the Value Pawn, 3181 N. Dixie Hwy, Pompano Beach. One suspect brandished an assault rifle at the frightened customers during the ordeal, and the other sprayed mace at three victims. No customers or employees were seriously injured. The two criminals escaped with cash, a gold chain and various personal items from victims.
The first suspect is 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds. He was wearing a blue jacket and long, dark pants. He wore long dreads, but witnesses said they may have been fake. The second suspect is about 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds with dark skin and short hair. He wore a black T-shirt, red shorts and a blue baseball cap. Both seem to be about 25.
