BSO Helps Keep Broward Shoppers Safe This Holiday Season

Scrooges beware: Santa’s got a brand new bag this holiday season.

From December 3rd through the 24th, deputies from the Broward Sheriff's Office will patrol shopping centers to help keep the holiday season happy.

In marked patrol vehicles, on bikes, motorcycles, and maybe even sleighs, deputies –both uniformed and undercover- will keep a watchful eye on businesses, shopping center parking lots, and holiday shoppers.

Deputies will identify suspicious individuals who may want to prey on unsuspecting shoppers and apprehend those who commit criminal acts.
Additionally, deputies will help educate shoppers on ways to keep themselves
-and their valuables- safe.

The media is invited to “ride along” with the Broward Sheriff's Office during Operation “Scrooge”. For more information, contact the Media Relations Department at (954) 831-8300.

From everyone at the Broward Sheriff's Office, have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season.
