TEXT FROM BANK ALERTS VICTIM TO FRAUD

Eduard Zavulunov, 36, of Surfside, knew his debit card had been compromised when he received a text message from his bank alerting him to a more than $400 purchase for paint at a Home Depot. At the time of the purchase Zavulunov was not at Home Depot, and he was in possession of his debit card.
The fraudulent transaction occurred shortly after 9 p.m. August 14 at the Home Depot located at 1951 S. State Road 7 in West Park. Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are hoping someone will be able to identify the woman who was captured on surveillance video using the counterfeit credit card.
