BSO Traffic Homicide Unit detectives are looking for the driver and vehicle of an early morning hit-and-run crash in Lauderdale Lakes that left a man in critical condition
Just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Broward Sheriff’s deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in the westbound lanes of Oakland Park Boulevard, just west of State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes.

BSO Traffic Homicide Unit investigators are looking for a mid-2000's Scion, TC model, dark in color with significant damage including the vehicle's front end, windshield and roof. The victim, a white male, 28, from Tamarac, was struck by the vehicle in the far right westbound lane of Oakland Park Boulevard just west of the intersection. He suffered critical injuries and was treated on the scene and transported by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Lauderdale Lakes units to Broward Health Medical Center.

Traffic homicide detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene who saw the vehicle traveling westbound before the crash, then slowing down after striking the pedestrian and making a right turn onto NW 43 Ave., heading north into a neighborhood.
