BURGLARY YIELDS DANGEROUS ITEM

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a burglar who broke into a truck and stole an unsecured handgun.

At 5:18 p.m., on December 13, an unidentified man broke the driver side window of a truck parked at a North Lauderdale shopping center. The thief was very clearly captured by surveillance cameras as he pushed his upper body into the car through the shattered glass to steal several items, including a .45-caliber firearm.   

The burglar is a black male with an athletic build and long dread locks. He was wearing a white shirt and white pants. He was last seen driving a gray, late model, 4-door Lexus.
