Citizen’s Input for 2014 Justice Assistance Grant Program


The Broward Sheriff’s Office is requesting public comment and input on the 2014 Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Local Solicitation Grant program from residents of the county’s unincorporated areas and the contact cities of Dania Beach, Deerfield Beach, Lauderdale Lakes, North Lauderdale, Oakland Park, Pompano Beach  and Tamarac, where BSO provides police and law enforcement services.


The Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program is a formula grant to cities and municipalities based on crime statistics.  The grant funds are allocated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and can be used for a variety of law enforcement programs and activities. 


Persons wishing to comment or provide input for the county’s application, should so by writing to your respective BSO District Chief:
