RED ALERT! SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO COOPER CITY

ST. NICK TO MAKE SPECIAL DELIVERIES THIS WEEKEND

In keeping with an old holiday tradition, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Station #28 will help roll out Cooper City’s Annual Holiday Santa Program. Firefighters will chauffer Saint Nick on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15, 2013 aboard the big red fire truck as he visits hundreds of local kids. The proceeds generated from this event support Station Pride Project as well as the firefighter scholarship program at Cooper City High School. Each year, CCHS seniors interested in a fire service career can submit applications for the scholarship.

Departing both days at 4 p.m. from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Station #28
10550 Stirling Rd., Cooper City

Participating parents are asked to secure their children’s gifts out front where Santa’s elves can easily find them, or, have someone meet the elves outside once they hear the sirens coming down the street. The elves will then give the gifts to Santa so he can hand deliver them to the kids himself.

This community event requires assistance from fire department volunteers as well as Cooper City’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). A portion of the proceeds will also be used to enhance the education and training of all CERT members in Cooper City.
