BSO LOOKING FOR CADILLAC THAT FLED CRASH SCENE

Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives are looking for a tan Cadillac Seville that hit a pedestrian crossing Oakland Park Boulevard Sunday night, pulled over briefly and then fled the scene. They have released a photo of a similar vehicle in hopes that a member of the public will see the damaged car and notify BSO or Crime Stoppers. 

The car will likely have damage to the front bumper, hood and possibly the windshield. 

The crash happened at 11:15 p.m. Sunday night in the 1800 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard. A man was walking from north to south across the street when he was struck. Oakland Park Fire Rescue transported him to Broward Health Medical Center with critical injuries. Detectives have not released his name as his family has not been notified. Witnesses told detectives that the vehicle stopped briefly after the impact and then drove away. 

Anyone with information about that vehicle or driver is asked to call BSO Traffic Homicide at (954) 321-4840 or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
