News from BSO

Broward Sheriff’s Office robbery detectives are looking for a man who robbed an Oakland Park AutoZone store, forcing two employees to give him cash from the register at gunpoint. Surveillance cameras captured the robbery, which happened around 6:45 p.m. Aug. 18 at 3570 N. Andrews Ave. A man, wearing a greenish fishing hat and a red, long-sleeved, button-down shirt approached the counter and paid cash for an item. Then he pulled out a small handgun, cycled back the slide and demanded money. The clerk complied, putting cash into an AutoZone bag. Then the crook demanded money out of a second register, so another clerk had to help him. At one point, he admonished the clerk for counting the money. Once he had the cash, he walked quickly from the store. Anyone who recognizes this robber can contact BSO Det. Armando Enrique at (954) 321-4270 or report information anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
