Description of Incident:

A Sarasota man was arrested Wednesday after he drove to a Broward County park to meet a teenage girl he solicited over the internet.
Sherif Ellaboudy was arrested by a BSO detective assigned to the LEACH (Law Enforcement Against Child Harm) task force when he arrived at a park in Plantation located in the 7900 block of Peters Road Wednesday afternoon. While posing as a 14-year-old girl in an online computer chat room on Tuesday, August 28th, the detective received an instant message from someone using the screen name “SELLxx.” He than engaged the undercover detective in dialogue and expressed a desire to meet and become sexually involved. He stated that he was coming to town from Sarasota on business and would be staying at the Double Tree hotel on Sunrise Boulevard. Investigators learned that SELLxx was Sherif Ellaboudy, who is a 44-year-old salesman from Sarasota.

During the online communication, Ellaboudy stated he would pick the teenager up from the park and take her back to his hotel room, where they would perform various sex acts. He stated, “We will have fun. We need to be very discrete and careful.” When the married father of two arrived at the park, he was taken into custody.

Ellaboudy was charged with one count of Computer Pornography and was booked at the Broward County Jail. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
