UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Leonard Neidich is being canceled after he walked into a convenience store early Sunday morning in Pompano Beach and asked the clerk to call his wife.


Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons detectives are hoping the public can assist in locating 87-year-old Leonard Neidich who suffers from memory loss due to a neurological condition. The Deerfield Beach resident was last seen about 9 a.m. Saturday at his home, located at 4065 Newport Q.

Neidich’s wife was transported to Boca Raton Community Hospital this morning, and when she arrived back home Neidich and his car were gone. Neidich is believed to be driving his 2002 Toyota Avalon with Florida tag 730 JXS. The elderly white male is about 5’8” tall and approximately 160 lbs.
