Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are releasing surveillance video of at least two suspects targetting unoccupied vehicles outside a Pembroke Park school hoping to score valuables left in the vehicles.

The video shows a dark-colored vehicle driving into the parking lot of the Pembroke Park Montessori School at 2921 SW 56 Ave., Pembroke Park at around 10 a.m. March 21.  The driver stops the suspect vehicle behind an SUV while his accomplice exits and steals the purse from the passenger seat of the SUV.   The owner of the SUV spots the suspect getting away with her purse and runs after him, but he quickly jumps into the car and the pair flees.

A similar incident took place at this same location on Feb. 14. (PIO 12-2-24).

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact BSO Detective Phillip Love at 954-964-0534 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477).  A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.

BSO Deputies advise motorists not to leave valuables in plain view inside their vehicles.  Even if you will only be gone for a few minutes, that's enough time to become the victim of a crime.  For additional safety tips, please visit our website
