GET YOUR MOTORS RUNNING FOR THE SOUTH EAST POLICE MOTORCYCLE RODEO

Approximately 125 riders from over 20 agencies will compete in the 28th Annual South East Police Motorcycle Rodeo held at Port Everglades from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. April 26 – 29. Competitors will have to maneuver various challenging courses while perfecting safe driving tactics to benefit C.O.P.S. (Concerns of Police Survivors), an organization dedicated to helping children and families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

The free event, spotlighting local and out-of-state competitors revving up their engines to maneuver various courses while practicing safe driving tactics, will include motorcycle units from the Seminole, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Boca Raton and Miami-Dade police departments as well as the Broward and Palm Beach sheriff’s offices. Last year’s event raised more than $50,000 for the charity.
In addition to the competition, there will be a variety of food, booths, a Kids Zone, Paint the Fire Truck and other family-friendly activities available. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.southeastpolice.com or call 954-288-7201.
