News from BSO

The Broward Sheriff's Office is asking residents in North Andrews Gardens and surrounding unincorporated areas to call a new number when requesting non-emergency service. Residents will get the same response and quality service from BSO deputies, only their assistance will come from a different building starting Friday, December 21st at 10:30 p.m.

Currently, non-emergency calls from residents in North Andrews Gardens and surrounding communities are received at the main BSO Communications Center, located at the Ron Cochran Public Safety Building. Residents who live east of I-95, south of Cypress Creek Road, west of Dixie Highway, and north of Prospect Road are being asked to call (954) 561-6161 rather than (954) 765-4321.

By calling the new non-emergency number, deputies will be dispatched from BSO’s District 12 Office in Oakland Park, located at 301 NE 38 Street. Deputies from BSO’s District 7 Tamarac office will no longer patrol this area. Most of the deputies who patrol the North Andrews Gardens area are being re-assigned to District 12 so that residents will see the same friendly faces they are familiar with.

This transition is more accommodating considering Oakland Park’s proximity to the North Andrews Gardens area. Anyone with questions or concerns should call BSO Chief Larry Rogers or Lt. Jeff Tozzie at (954) 561-6111.
