Description of Incident:

An unidentified man robbed a RaceTrac convenience store in Pembroke Park on February 9. He went back and tried the same crime the next night but the second time proved to be a challenge. Broward Sheriff’s Office Robbery detectives are searching for the criminal caught on surveillance video.

At 1:06 a.m. on Feb. 9, clerks at the RaceTrac in Pembroke Park were robbed at gunpoint by an unidentified man who got away with almost $200. The next night at 11:44 p.m., the same man walked into the store with a gun in his hand and yelled, “Where the money at? I’m serious, give me the money.” This time the store clerks took a closer look and noticed the man’s gun didn’t look real. “Are you going to rob me with a toy gun?” the store clerk said. To this, the robber chose to simply walk out, this time without any money.

Robbery detectives are searching for a black male, approximately 5’ 10”, about 180 lbs., appearing to be in his 30s. He was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a black rag cap during the crime.
