Description of Incident:

A man seen in security video as he casually spoke on his cellphone and took a sip of his drink quickly dropped his charade when he walked up to the register and demanded all the cash. Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for this armed robber.

At 8 a.m. Sunday, February 2, Viridiana Marquina, 19, was working as a cashier at a Walgreens in Pompano Beach when she noticed a man dressed in khaki in line as he drank a Muscle Milk. The man waited until all the other customers were gone and seemed to be involved in a conversation on his cell phone as he walked up to the register. His rouse abruptly ended when he reached the cashier and demanded all the cash in the register. She opened the cash drawer and stepped back as the robber reached his body over the counter and grabbed several hundred dollars.

The unidentified man ran from the store but was captured by the store’s surveillance camera.
