Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are looking for two men who committed an armed robbery late Saturday, April 28 at the Moon Thai and Japanese restaurant located at 2818 Weston Rd. in Weston. The 911 call was received at 11:57 p.m.

After the robbery, the criminals took a 2010 Honda Insight that belonged to one of the managers. Davie PD recovered the vehicle while investigators were still at the robbery scene.

Surveillance video shows the men enter a back door and hold a male employee at gunpoint. Off camera, they pushed the employee into the women’s restroom, where one suspect held him at gunpoint. The second suspect gathered together the other employees and forced them into the restroom. Then the second suspect went into the dining room of the closed restaurant and rifled through the shelves near the register. He then got a female employee from the bathroom and brought her out to open the register for him.

In addition to the Honda, the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash and some personal belongings from the victims.
