The BSO Explorers Program works with teens and young adults ages 14-21 by allowing them to interact with law enforcement and other community advisors in a serious, regimented atmosphere where they can demonstrate their personal initiative. The program is a successful example of how early intervention can instill responsibility, leadership, teamwork and self-reliance. The program offers young adults the opportunity to learn and experience lawful citizenship as they participate, side-by-side, with certified BSO deputies in ongoing training and community service projects.
For more information on the BSO Explorers program contact Deputy Iamel Martinez at 954-985-1953 or visit www.sheriff.org.
