NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATOR WEEK

APRIL 13-19, 2014

The Regional Communications Division will be celebrating National Telecommunicator Week, April 13-19, 2014.  In 1991 a Congressional resolution designated the second full week in April each year as National Telecommunicator Week. Since this time, public safety agencies nationwide have recognized Telecommunicators, dispatchers, E911 operators, communication operators and Teletype operators for the vital role they play in public safety.

Regional Communications personnel provide a critical service to the citizens of Broward County and all emergency field personnel while performing their duties with integrity, quality, accountability and respect.  As the first responder to nearly every crime, fire and medical emergency, the E911 operator continues to be an invaluable resource for the community and field personnel.

Please join me in honoring the men and woman of the Regional Communications Division for their hard work and dedication during National Telecommunicator Week.
