Weston, Southwest Ranches and unincorporated West Broward
In addition to unincorporated areas of western Broward County, the district serves Weston and the Town of Southwest Ranches. The geographical boundaries of the district are University Drive to the east, Collier County line to the west, Sheridan Street to the south and Interstate I-595/I-75 to the north. Additionally, the district patrols the unincorporated areas along US-27 from the Palm Beach County line to the Dade County line.

BSO operates four fire stations in southwestern Broward County, equipped with a various equipment including ALS (Advanced Life Support) tanker trucks, rescue units and ladder trucks.
Unique among these is Station 106 located in the heart of the Florida Everglades at mile marker 35 on Interstate 75 which crosses the state west of Ft. Lauderdale. Station 106 is equipped with an ALS engine, a rescue airboat (the type of craft best-suited to the shallow water terrain of the Everglades) and a deep-water rescue vessel.

BSO provides law enforcement services for the City of Weston and the Town of Southwest Ranches, the unincorporated areas of western Broward, and patrols areas along US-27 from the Palm Beach County line to the Miami-Dade County line.
The annual budget for Weston is approximately $8.2 million and provides for 93 positions including a district chief, two lieutenant, five sergeants, 55 deputies and other positions.
The annual budget for the Town of Southwest Ranches is approximately $1.3 million and provides for 12 positions including one sergeant, 11 deputies and other positions. The annual budget for the unincorporated areas is approximately $2.1 million and provides for 24 positions including one lieutenant, four sergeants, 15 deputies and other positions
