BIRM also administers BSO's Records Department, with 60 employees handling nearly 40,000 public information requests annually from law enforcement organizations and private citizens.

BIRM oversees thousands of pieces of equipment at BSO including:

  • 2,000 desktop computers
  • 2,000 laptop computers
  • 70 servers
  • 4,000 telephones
  • 500 inmate pay phones
