Accountability Programs
The Broward Sheriff's Office utilizes objective, interactive and non-traditional review programs to track the efficiency, progress and success of units within the Department of Law Enforcement, the Department of Detention and Community Control and the Department of Fire Rescue. These programs which have drawn the attention of government agencies from around the country provide an objective means to determine goal attainment, improve morale, develop creative solutions to existing problems and to involve all levels of staff in improving operation.
STARTRAC is used for the Department of Detention and Community Control and FIRETRAC is for the Department of Fire Rescue. The accountability program for the Department of Law Enforcement is conducted weekly as a roundtable discussion about various topics.
