Description of Incident:

The third suspect in the murder of a man who was found inside a burning car is now in custody. Jeffrey Harrell was arrested Wednesday following an hours-long standoff with Broward Sheriff's Office fugitive task force, Miami-Dade police and the U.S. Marshals Service. Harrell had barricaded himself inside a home at 8340 N.W. Fifth Ave. in Miami before surrendering without incident.

Two other people were previously arrested and face charges of first degree murder in relation to Darren Butler's death. Johntavis McCoe, 26, was taken into custody in Miami on Nov. 21 and Rougiena Deriveire, 18, was arrested on Nov. 18.

Butler was discovered around 5 a.m. Nov. 14 when BSO deputies responded to a car on fire at Bicentennial Park, 6100 Kimberly Blvd. Once North Lauderdale Fire Rescue extinguished the flames, the 27-year-old's body was found in the trunk of his Pontiac G6. The homicide investigation continues.

Harrell, 28, will be extradited to Broward County where he'll face a charge of first degree murder.
