CREW SMASHES THROUGH DRYWALL TO GET INTO HIGH-END CLOTHING STORE

The bandits who smashed their way into a Dania Beach clothing store clearly have an eye for high-end fashion. They may like the set of silver bracelets that Broward Sheriff's Office deputies have in store for them.

Around 10:15 p.m. Dec. 16, a crew of thieves entered Holt Miami, 1917 Tigertail Blvd., through a hole they created in the wall of an adjoining business, U.S. Brick & Block Systems. They bypassed the less expensive clothes and scooped up the pricey gowns and dresses. The suspects even took the time to disable the alarm and steal the DVR.

All of the goods, which the retailer said are valued around $700,000, were placed in a white box truck that was waiting outside the showroom that faces I-95. The burglars cleaned up at the brick business, too. They took two pressure-cleaning scrubbers and two paint sprayers worth about $1,600.

In the surveillance video, the getaway truck -- with its distinctive rounded top -- can be seen unloading the burglars and returning to the property into the next morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact BSO Det. Peter McGowan at 954-926-2400 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.

MEDIA NOTE: The surveillance video is on our website, sheriff.org.
